About the Author

Because of personal spiritual struggles and a dysfunctional home, Paul has always been trying to understand how the Bible - God’s Word - would help him get through tough inner struggles. After international ministry in the 80s, pastoring in the 90s, the Lord called Paul into writing and training. He founded Biblical Foundations for Freedom in 2000, releasing God’s truth into the lives of others – even as the Lord has changed him.

Paul has written over ten major books spanning marriage, parenting, Bible commentaries, relational discipleship, leadership, overcoming sin patterns, godly living and theological studies, etc. Along with these books and a host of life-changing articles presented with many charts and graphics, Paul has a large multi-media library, website (www.foundationsforfreedom.net) and an international ministry, taking these life-changing truths literally to Christian leaders around the world.

Paul J. Bucknell grew up in the Boston area, coming to the Lord around 13 years old. His love for God’s Word started from day one, but it wasn’t until studying inductive Bible study methods that God’s Word began to significantly shape him. While studying engineering Paul was called into ministry. Shortly after Bible college, Paul got married to Linda and since then had 8 children (yes - all ours!) and now has two grandchildren.
