Baseball & romance..... what's not to love. Rachel is a business woman pretty much consumed by pleasing her ultra successful father. When she comes home to take over building a minor league baseball team her life starts to feel empty. She is there because her father was diagnosed with Alzheimer's & through interactions with family & friends she learns how much her life is truly missing. Great story on finding love & second chances. Advanced Reader Copy provided by the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

Arden’s unique voice and entertaining writing style really shine through in this unique romance. The narrative melds together descriptions and dialogue to create a seamless whole that was a pleasure to read. I really enjoyed the mix of romance, sports, and business. The way that Arden used them served to enhance the tale and to create a lasting impression on the reader. Arden’s character development was fantastic. I felt that I got to know everyone very well, and truly enjoyed the experience. All of the characters stood out on their own without overshadowing the main characters. I loved the way that Arden brought her characters’ emotions forward. It was simply a part of who they were. And she did this with all of their emotions, not just the sappy or romantic ones. It made everyone seem so real. Once again Arden has created a fantastically original romantic tale to launch her new series. I, for one, can’t wait to see what comes next.
