About the Author

James Rogers is a patent attorney and former patent examiner with the United States Patent and Trademark Office where he examined hundreds of patent applications in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology fields. Previous to his work as a patent examiner, James was in house counsel for a diagnostic company and has worked for several law firms in the intellectual property area.is

James received his B.A. in political science and French from Union College and law degree from Suffolk University Law School. He received an MS degree in biology with an emphasis on DNA recombinant technology from New York University and a PhD in molecular medicine from the University of South Florida College of Medicine with an emphasis on immunology. He is a member of the New York and Massachusetts bars.
