About the Author
Rudyard Kipling (1865-1936) was one of the most popular writers in the United Kingdom in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. His fiction works include The Jungle Book — a classic of children’s literature — and the rousing adventure novel Kim, as well as books of poems, short stories, and essays. In 1907, at the age of 42, he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature.
Most Helpful Customer Reviews
Kipling is of course Kipling. I am pleased to acquire the works of my favorite author. The continual changes in typeface make it difficult to read. As I carry several hundred Nook books on my phone, I am disapointed when I cannot keep a book on my storage card. That is why I bought it.
This collection is an inexpensive way to introduce this brilliant author to anyone unfamiliar with his works! If you really enjoy them, I highly recommend seeing what is available in hardback format. There are often inexpensive anthologies available both new and used. There is just something extra special about reading his works in a regular book format as opposed to an ebook format.
