I am always looking for ways to grow as a parent and a Christian. This book really caught my eye, because lately, I have felt like just the everyday stresses of life, compounded by a bit of a curve ball that hit last year has definitely turned me into a bit more of a "cranky" mom. I found this devotional to be just what a needed, offering some great advice and taking me through God's Word. Boy, Becky sure hit the nail on the head! She wrote about so many things I struggle with. She gave some really great pointers and Scripture on how to act, react, and become the Mom God wants us to be. I am still working through the individual questions and study at the end of the chapters. I did a quick read through and am going back to really do a deeper study with all the verses included. I feel like this would be a wonderful asset to many mom's out there. It would make a great personal or group study. I know I myself have been convicted while reading through this book, but I have also been encouraged that I can tame the "momster" inside and become grace filled and a kinder, gentler parent when I put these principles into practice. I would definitely recommend this book! I was blessed with a copy courtesy of Bethany House Publishers. I wasn't required to give a positive review, All opinions are my own.

This book was a lovely reminder of many things that I already know, but tend to forget in the moment. It's nice to have a Biblical perspective as well!

Wow! This book has been working on, in, and through me! How often as Mom’s do we get cranky just because things don’t go our way of because our kids don’t do something the same way we would!? Becky share about ridding our homes of the “Momster” and how to fix our cranky! “The Cranky Mom Fix” has helped me to be more aware of my ‘triggers’ and what makes me cranky. Also, I’ve been reminded that I am responsible for me and I cannot blame my kids for my attitude, I need to be the example! Becky works the reader through having a more peaceful home by implementing practical tips and applying God’s Word into our everyday! I love the “Let’s Dig In” parts at the end of each chapter that helped me to see more what God says! This book is really changed my heart and is making a difference in my home and family! I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

This book is a must read for any mom. It spoke to me and was a great reminder that no mom is perfect but we can all do better. "Kids are not people to be tamed but nurtured" this quote summarizes the nature of the book. Kopitzke shows how easy it is to fall into a routine of just managing your kids without enjoying the process of the people they are becoming and how to break free of that mentality. If you know a new mom or one with young children this book would make an excellent gift!
