This was a very satisfying read featuring both a hero and heroine who try to hide their love of poetry from the other, which is the basis of the conflict in this delightful story. The hero despises those who write terrible poetry to simply get noticed, and the heroine seems to think he hates poetry altogether. The heroine, who aspires to have some of her own poetry published, admires the hero despite the fact that she thinks he shuns all poets, and she decides to see if she can capture his notice but still hide her love of poetry from him. This plot makes for a sweet comedy of manners.

I loved this book! On my nook it says it was 419 pages long and it was so good it felt like 219. I loved how the heroine stands up for herself and has set goals for herself. There were so many rules in this time period for women and I just love a good story line where the lady remains a lady and still stands for herself. The Hero was encouraging and a romantic at heart! Beautiful ending! This author can write such a beautiful scene that conveys thoughts and feelings without going overboard. It reminds me of the "UP!" movie and the beautiful 5 minutes showing their relationship.

This was a very enjoyable traditional romance novel. The hero and heroine were well matched, and the minor characters clearly defined. I will be looking for more books by this author!
