About the Author

Jacqueline Materia Nardone (‘05) attended Penn State University and enjoyed spending all four of her years there as a member of the Blue Band. There she met friends and formed relationships that would stand the test of both distance and time. As a piccolo player, Jacqueline became a squad leader, and eventually served as the Blue Band Historian. She currently lives in New York City with her husband, Thomas (‘04, Blue Band Snare), daughter, Penelope, and dog, Daisy. They frequently make time to return to State College and Penn State and cheer on the Blue Band during practices and games.
