The Devil Earl
He stepped out of a storm and onto her pages...

All of Regency society thinks the latest Gothic novel is based on the Earl of Ravenscar—except the woman who wrote it. Although she took inspiration from the earl's eerie ancestral home, Prudence Lancaster is certain the man is no monster.

Called the Devil Earl and rumored to have done murder, Ravenscar accepts his black reputation. But he refuses to be linked to a lurid book—until he meets the author. Bespectacled, ink-stained Prudence is unlike anyone he's ever known and everything he never knew he wanted.

"TDE is funny, heartbreaking, and breathlessly romantic all at the same time... Absolutely magnificent, TDE demands reread after reread." – Mrs. Giggles

Book Two of The Regency Romps

Two-time RITA Finalist Deborah Simmons is a USA Today bestselling author of historical romances originally published by Avon, Harlequin, and Berkley, as well as a romantic comedy.

About the Author

USA Today bestselling author Deborah Simmons began her career as a journalist, but left nonfiction for the world of happily ever afters. She’s written historical romances originally published by Avon, Harlequin, and Berkley, as well as a romantic comedy.

Her books A Lady of Distinction and The Gentleman Thief were finalists in Romance Writers of America’s annual RITA competition. Two other releases, The Gentleman's Quest and Glory and the Rake (now titled Glory and the Duke), were up for The Daphne du Maurier Award of Excellence for Mystery/Suspense. And her work has been translated and published in more than thirty countries, with graphic novel editions available for some titles.

She believes in strong heroines, wry humor, a touch of mystery, and love that can’t be denied.
