Here's a frightening figure. Every year around seventy thousand women are reported as being missing in the United States alone. Of course, many are not actually missing, and more are quickly found, or return home easing – to some extent – the anxiety of loved ones and friends. In 2013 Tiffany Whitton became one of the few who went missing – and was not found. More than seven years on, there is still not a sign of her. In all probability, she is dead.
