Toni Westmore doesn't do relationships. She has a demanding boss at her high end Soho art gallery job and an even more difficult and critical mother – who needs the mess of a relationship?

Enter Irish Doctor Gavin McKinnon, her friend's brother, also known as the perfect summer fling: tall, muscled, smart, funny, definitely ready for a good time and stamped with an expiration date. He'll go back to Ireland and his family medical practice in a few weeks and she'll return to her real world and plan her next career move.

Gavin's in town not only to visit his sister, but to try and heal his broken heart. He gets a little help when Toni, his sister's friend and roommate, enters the picture. Inexplicably drawn to her, Gavin tries to remind himself to look but not touch, but Toni is hard to resist... and when she offers him a no strings fling, how could he say no?

But as Gavin's departure date looms, Toni realizes that her sexy summer fling is anything but. And she was sure she could kiss Gavin goodbye with no regrets...

Will she attempt to break their no strings rule? Or will Gavin leave Long Island without looking back?

I liked this book but it wasn't my favorite of the series. Gavin visits his sister and family for a vacation. He meets Toni and feels something spark between them. They both have been burned in the past, so they try to keep things light. I felt that their relationship lacked any real connection besides sex. I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

Toni is in a rut, and Gavin is just visiting his sister on vacation. They have intense chemistry, so they figure a fling with a set end date is what they both need. I really liked both of these characters, and Gavin's sister Anna was great as well. It was a very touching and steamy story. I couldn't stop reading, but yet I didn't want the story to end. Gavin was such a hot character. Smart, sweet, definitely someone I would dream about. Great story.

Rating: 4.5/5 This is the third book in this brilliant series so far and, although they are written by different authors, they include some of the same characters in each. They may be read as standalone books but I’ve appreciated the opportunity to see how characters and relationships from earlier books in the series develop. The author manages to portray the characters so it is easy for readers to empathise with them, experiencing their angst, turmoil and drams throughout the story. Doctor Gavin McKinnon is going to New York to stay with his sister and her housemates for a month long vacation. He’s really read to catch up with Anna and his brother Sean, both of whom live in the city. He’s had a traumatic time after his long term girlfriend, Siobhan, broke up with him 8 months ago but he’s starting to get over it and when he walks into his home for the next month he’s greeted by a knife wielding, feisty and very attractive female, Toni Westmore. Talk about instant lust/love! These two are wary but so attracted to each other. She also had a bad relationship experience, where her boyfriend was verbally abusive, demeaning her and totally shaking her self-confidence, so she no longer does long term relationships. The two agree to a summer fling, with a definite cut off date when her returns back to Ireland. The best laid plans, however, are often scuppered when love comes into the mix! Will they be able to leave their sexy summer fling and go their separate ways or will love tie them together? How could they make a long distance relationship work - and is it worth risking heartbreak if things go wrong? The other books in this series published so far are: His Touch by Patty Blount His Kiss by Jolyse Barnett You can also read more about the earlier romance of Sean McKinnon and Cassandra Baines in ‘All I Want for Christmas’ which is also by Jennifer Gracen Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley too, for letting me read an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
