This is NOT a sequel. All it is is a rewrite of the first but from his POV. if I wanted to read the Submissive again I would. Don't waste your money. I want my money back.

So tired of paying $8-$10 for the same thing! I want my money back!

This really is a rewrite from a different charecters point of view. I have been waiting for this book to come out, and now I feel so cheated! I want my money back!! Don't waste your money on this book...wait for the third book in October.

This is NOT a sequel to book 1 it is a rewrite of book 1. Last page in book one says "to be continued" so you assume book 2 is the continuation, the author lied it is not. Don't waste your money on the same book. Pathetic the author needs to lie to sell books. I will NOT buy another book from Tara Sue Me. B&N please make readers aware of this

Disappointed. I wish I'd known this was just a rewrite of the 1st book from a different point of view. Wanted to read it but paying $10 for it? Don't think so.

Can't believe I wasted money on the same book as the first but his pov. What a crime these authors keep doing this.

This was touted as the second book in a trilogy. It's not - it's the same story as the first book just retold from the man's perspective. TOTALLY a rip off at almost $9. I feel completely cheated.

Nathaniel Weston is looking for a new submissive. He likes to have control in all aspects of his life, both as CEO of West Industries and in his personal relationships. He has four new applicants, the first three are experienced but don't particularly interest him. The fourth name however, is one that shocks him..... Abigail King. He knows who she is and never in his wildest dreams would have thought she would be interested in a BDSM relationship, but she has requested him specifically, even though she has no experience whatsoever. Nathaniel is a dominant with a very strict set of rules and parameters and never takes on inexperienced submissives.....but for Abigail he breaks his own rule, and decides to give her a chance. Abigail, a librarian at the New York Public Library, surprises Nathaniel. Smarts, heart, innocence and a natural submissive who instinctually puts her trust in him, was more than he had hoped for and it does not take long for him to put his collar on her. But soon the exclusively weekends arrangement are not sufficient for Nathaniel anymore and as he is allowing himself to feel more, he is loosening the restrictions he has put on the relationship.......and himself. But can he take that final step and trust Abigail with the truth? I absolutely love the male perspective!! It really sold this story to me. The inner dialogue, the reasoning, the fears, all the while tightly controlling the exterior is fascinating.  I had not read the first book, which is Abigail's perspective and I think I will, simply to get the full three-dimensional experience, but I have a feeling that the viewpoint of the dominant will stay my favourite, because I can finally see how this could really be the less powerful role. For me.....An enlightening book!!!!

I was glad to see nathaniel's POV in this book! I had concerns & questions about his motivation in the 1st book & I thought this book was helpful in explaining everything.

I like where the story line is going. Steamy scenes and not a "hardcore" dominant. A bit emotional. I like how Book 1 is from Abby's perspective and Book 2, from Nathaniel's. Well done with filling in those missing pieces from Book 1. Can't wait to finish Book 3. Hoping for a happy ending.

I was very disappointed in this book. Here I pre-ordered couldn't wait and then .....WHAT .....I just read this didn't I. It embellished a little on some parts because it was his POV but I feel I have been ripped off and am not a happy Camper

The entire time I was reading The Dominant I thought that I had started to reread The Submissive again. The exact story line is in both books, there is no need to buy The Submissive if you are going to purchase the Dominant. It's disappointing really, I just hope the last book to come out has a different story line.

Have you read the Submissive???? Then, guess what??? You HAVE read The Dominant!! It is the exact same book, only written from Nathaniel's point of view!!! Which means you can pay for the same book TWICE!! I guess the next one will be from the dog's perspective! I m greatly disappointed. Both Tara Sue Me and Barnes and Noble acted dishonorably and pushed this book as a sequel. Shame on you both and I will NOT spend another dime on one of the authors books!

Ok. I knew going in that this story was his POV but it was not a good read. The secret he was hiding from Abby was trumped up and not a big deal. Nathaniel's character came across as weak and whiny and just unpleasant. I liked him better in the first book. If the next book is mostly about her BDSM training, I'll pass. So disappointed.

If you have read Tara Sue Me's The Submissive, you will want to continue the series with this cleverly written version of the story thus far, The Dominant . I admit, I do like to read parallel stories, especially when they shift POV to the Hero.  To many, CEO Nathaniel West had it all: Looks, success, and control. What he lacked though, was a feeling of peace, a feeling of belonging, acceptance, love. He had strong family relationships, which were perhaps what kept him from being completely alone. Inwardly, he saw himself as a failure, incomplete. What he wanted but felt he didn't deserve, was Abigail King.  He was sure he wasn't capable of normal, that being a Dom was the only 'relationship' he was destined to have. He saw hints of Abby's longing. Hints of her love. But his lack of self-love, his fear of loss, his fear that even if Abby did love him, that too would dim, disallowed him true happiness.  This is Nathaniel's journey, and I loved it. I loved seeing inside his mind, inside his heart. Into the torture he put himself through, his despairing loneliness. 'My life had been a puzzle with one piece missing and then that piece fell into place.' Such was the writing, that I was teary reading about Nathanial's angst.  The Dominant was eloquently written, true to character, and poetically crafted. The banter between Abby and Nathaniel was wonderful. And, of course, it was passionate, sizzling and lascivious. That is, if you enjoy the BDSM genre. To me, it was more than just another book of that genre though. It was a powerfully emotional journey of one man's path to trust, love and completion. I look forward to Part 3 - The Training. Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to receive and review this ARC. No compensation was received for this review.
