About the Author

Dr Shane Bergin is a scientist. He loves to use his imagination, to do experiments and play, and to figure out how the world works. He works at UniversityCollege Dublin where he does research and teaches students who enjoy science. Shane enjoys going on the radio to talk about science. He and his students run a science and music programme for children with the National Concert Hall called Quavers to Quadratics. In 2022, Shane and his friend Declan wrote a storybook for children called Peigí's Adventures in Science.
