“The whole thing was basically an experiment,” Richard Feynman said late in his career, looking back on the origins of his lectures. The experiment turned out to be hugely successful, spawning publications that have remained definitive and introductory to physics for decades. Ranging from the basic principles of Newtonian physics through such formidable theories as general relativity and quantum mechanics, Feynman's lectures stand as a monument of clear exposition and deep insight.
Timeless and collectible, the lectures are essential reading, not just for students of physics but for anyone seeking an introduction to the field from the inimitable Feynman.

I have the hard copy of the lectures, and I've also visited the website which put the soft-copy on line and also advertises it to buy from multiple vendors. I bought the soft-copy from Barnes-n-Noble, and was deeply disappointed! The quality is horrible, it seems it's nothing more than just a hand-scanned copy of the book. The letters and pictures are hard to see, there is little or no links. This is a rip-off. Why couldn't the guys who put the soft copy on the web simply turned it into a nice pdf file? I was very, very disappointed. Why pay $20 for this? And it's not like it was difficult to make it look good and convenient to the users. I advice people NOT to waste money on this book. P.S. Don't misunderstand me, the lectures themselves are great, but this edition is terrible.
I was originally nervous to order this book since it has no reviews/ratings. However, this is exactly the Feynman Lectures on Physics it claims to be. Actually, it's better. This version has corrected 800 errata from previous versions of the book. So, this is the same content of the red books, only in a soft cover and cleaned up a bit!
