Jason Ford has a plan.

4.5 Stars! Oh my I couldn't wait to dive into this after the ending of The Trouble With You. I knew that Jason and Felicity's book was going to be one for the books. I adored Felicity in book one and Jason I had a love/hate relationship with him. But I needed to know more about him because I knew he wore a mask for his emotions. Jason Ford is the captain and quarterback of the Rixon Raiders. He lives for football. He has it in his blood and soul. He only cares about winning State, going to UPenn and becoming a NFL star, but there is more to him than that. He comes across as a jerk, cocky and so full of himself. However, underneath that he actually cares about others even though he doesn't show it. His family is his two best friends. He can't stand his dad and what he has done and his mom left him high and dry. So Jason has some trust and abandonment issues that he won't show to others, nope this is where the jerky tendenices come out. He is also a ladies man and doesn't ever dip into a girl more than once, except there is one that seems to be getting under his skin. Felicity. His step-sister's quirky best friend. Felicity Giles is a girl who has her future set. Or at least the future her parents want her too have. She wants to be independent, but doesn't want to step on anyone's toes or hurt feelings. She's quirky and beats to her own drum. She has decided to to a senior bucket list to achieve some things in her life she wouldn't necessarily do. For years, she has had a secret crush on Jason even though he has never shown her any attention. She knows he would never fall for a girl like her, but that doesn't stop her from falling into his web and falling for the bad boy. She can't seem to say no to him and he pushes all her buttons, but will her heart survive this year? Jason and Felicity are the couple I was rooting for right as soon as I dived in. I found myself addicted to their push and pull. I had a few moments that I wanted to kick Jason in his junk and smack Felicity upside the head. C'mon girl let him go, he doesn't want you, but he did kept a hold of her. Jason did some things to Felicity that broke my heart, but once everything is laid out, you understand what he was doing and you might just swoon. I love the secondary characters and I can't wait for Asher's book. Asher Asher Asher!! L.A. Cotton brings the angst, love/hate and swoon worthy moments with this. I felt like I was on the sidelines seeing everything unfold and cheering on the Raiders to victory! I can't wait for more!!

5 stars Reviewed by Lisa Late Night Support Group Up All Night With Books Blog The Game You PlayRixon Raiders book by L. A. Cotton and as much as I loved Hailee and Cameron...Jason and Felicity stole the show. The emotions that are invoked just grab you and stick. I don't think I have felt that intensity reading before. So well written that I couldn't put it down. The drama of high school is stronger than ever. School rivals, family issues, pressure mounting, friend dynamics altered can only mean one thing, one hell of a story!!!! Felicity has started her senior year with a list that she needs to accomplish before she graduates and as each item is crossed things start to change. Feeling a little out of control takes her on a path she didn't know was possible. Jason had his life mapped out. He was going to be the best of the best and move on from Rixon. But when a certain girl starts to get under his skin and his life starts spinning what could go wrong? Or could it go right? Amazing written with a storyline that just keeps getting better.

Felicity Giles has had enough, she is fed up with her parents high expectations, and constantly being told how to live her life. It's her senior year of high school, she wants to live a little and have some fun, and maybe do a few reckless things too. So, she makes a list of things she wants to do before she graduates, and with her friends help she's hoping to cross every last item off the list! Her little list is about to bring her everything she has ever dreamed of having, like a certain sexy star quarterback... but it might bring a few unexpected complications too! The Rixon Raiders are back, and this time readers get up close and personal view of their star quarterback and the lucky lady who has scored his full attention! Jason Ford doesn't do relationships or love, after baring witness to what happens when it doesn't work, he was quick to cross it off his list. As much as he detested love, the more his female counterpart Felicity craved it, which could only spell disaster for them. He was constantly keeping her at arm's length, pulling her in when the craving for her became too strong, then pushing her away when feelings started to surface. This little battle of their's brought serious heart torturing angst to the pages, they just about wrecked me with their little game. I absolutely loved every single second of this one, it's words were completely absorbing and so good on my heart! Highly recommend! I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher and I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased opinion.

The Game You Play is the second book in the Rixon Raiders series. In book one, The Trouble With You, Jason was a total jerk (edited because I can't use the word that would better fit him here). I'm a sucker for the broken bad boys and was super excited when I found out book two would be his story! Jason was raised to be an all-star football player. It's all he's ever known. He can't imagine a life without football. As "QB1" for the Rixon Raiders he is on the fast track to the big leagues and nothing will get in his way and distract him. Then Felicity steps into the picture and his world is turned upside down. I love Felicity, her quirkiness, and her sass! I knew she would give Jason a run for his money. The way he treated her though, I wanted to smack him in the head. This book was definitely filled with plenty of angst and twists and I loved every moment of it!
