An ambitious heiress disguised as Cinderella meets her match—a bad boy who pursues her in the ballroom and the boardroom—in this charming short novel from bestselling author Kay Hooper, part of her Once Upon a Time series.
There’s fantasy in the air, and more than a touch of irony, as Amanda Wilderman taps her dainty glass slipper impatiently and watches the clock. Would this costume party ever end? But when an anonymous Prince Charming sweeps her off her feet and onto the dance floor, Amanda tries to have some innocent fun before returning to the real world. Her obligations to the family business keep her too busy for love—and, besides, she’s never known anyone like this mystery man.
Despite his elegant attire, Ryder Foxx is a butcher when it comes to the competition. No one’s ever brought the ruthless mogul to his knees, until his dance partner leaves him holding her glass shoe . . . literally. But when fate—or perhaps a matchmaking fairy godmother or two—finds him snowbound at a Wyoming dude ranch with a gorgeous redhead who seems strangely familiar, Ryder realizes that Cinderella’s also his biggest competitor. And if the shoe fits, maybe he’ll have to start believing in magic—or at least in the power of love.

The Glass Shoe was a cute read, I read in just a couple of hours. The story was fun but a bit predictable. Great read for a relaxing beach trip. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
This is part of the Author's fairy tale stories with this Tale a take on Cinderella. Enjoyed Amanda and Ryder's story with the humor , characters and ending. Have this book in Print from original first publishing from Loveswept on a keeper shelf and loved revisiting it. Ebook from Netgalley and publishers with thanks. Opinions are entirely my own.
This modern day version of the classic Cinderella was a fun, sweet read. Owing her cousins a favor is never a good thing and this time it has her dressing up as Cinderella, glass slippers and all, and attending a local ball. Never did she imagine meeting her very own Prince Charming in Ryder Foxx. After having a great time Amanda is reluctant for Ryder to find out who she really is and at midnight runs from the ball. And yes you guessed it....leaves her slipper behind. When they eventually meet up again it looks like they have a chance at a happily ever after until business comes between them. A quick fun read that I would recommend.
