The book is a snapshot of Goa in the 80's and 90's from the perspective of the author. It talks about the everyday life of the average middle class Goan and is a re-telling of stories and recipes passed down through the generations of the author's family. Some recipes are family ones passed down to the author by his grandmother and mother, while other's are the author's own takes on some traditional classics.
