The Grateful Way: Feel Free from Regret in Three Small Steps

Would you like to feel free from regret? What if you could learn how to right now?
True stories and practical tips in this short, sweet inspirational memoir and 'how to' self-care book will show you the way.
The author's mom's simple and deliberate inclination to make the most of everything―terrible or terrific―served her well; often saying, "Where there's a will, there's a way." But not just any way. At each fork in the road she chose to take the grateful way.
That's how IJ's mom 'took the wheel' in her life's journey, overcoming losses such as: her house in a fire, the 'love of her life' to cancer, her 37 year-old son to a heart attack and, her ability to speak following a stroke. And, it's also how she optimized opportunities, becoming an artist, going on a six-week long European adventure and, posing as a 'Calendar Girl' — all after she turned sixty. (That's her on the cover!)
At age 89, despite the terrible times, given the terrific ones, and due to her thankful outlook, this remarkable woman passed away believing she was fortunate, and genuinely feeling regret-free. This heart-warming and thought-provoking book shares the three small steps of 'T.H.X.' as well as the 'Ten Ways to Express Gratitude' as simple guides to feeling free from regret and reveals if she could do it, so can you—by choosing to live 'the grateful way'.

About the Author

Writing this book, gratitude aficionado, writer and speaker IJ (Ida-Jean) McIntyre discovered we can choose to have a thankful mindset, we can learn to express appreciation, and that living gratefully can free us from feelings of regret.
A small-town Saskatchewan upbringing, two university degrees and more than twenty years of experience facilitating workshops and delivering conference sessions have given IJ the insight to guide people exploring their lives, making plans and taking positive actions that are right for them. IJ is certified in two personality temperament tools, holds two retirement life planning designations, has served on two national boards of directors, is a member of the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers and has written articles for the Vancouver Sun, Calgary Herald, Toronto Star and National Post.
IJ invites you to nurture your own grateful attitude by applying insights you'll find inside this book, and at: www.thegratefulway.ca, to your life.
