Overview

On a warm, sunny day in August, Jasmine and her Dad pack the van for a road trip to the World's Largest Yard Sale in Hamburg, New York, to sell her used books, clothes, and toys to raise money for Grandma's church. On the way to pick up Grandma for the event, the city turns dark, and it begins to rain. Jasmine and her Dad travel through a rainstorm and get trapped in an eerie and mystical town. Will Jasmine and her Dad make it back home?

About the Author

Destiny J. Constantin is passionate about education and writing. She holds a Master's Degree in English & Creative Writing from Southern New Hampshire University. Two years ago, Destiny began her teaching career. She teaches English, literature, and writing to undergraduate students with the goal of strengthening their reading comprehension and writing skills.

Destiny loves putting magical twists on stories while reflecting on her personal experiences. In December 2020, She published a young adult fantasy short story titled "The Story of Lady Sapphire" and a cozy murder mystery short story titled "Murder by a Cupcake" in Coffee House Writer's Anthology.

In addition, Destiny continues to create baking articles and short stories in various genres, including mystery and young adult fiction, on the Coffee House Writers' platform monthly.

Destiny also is a freelance book reviewer. She reads and reviews books for best-selling authors and indie authors in various genres, including young adult fantasy, mystery, and contemporary romance.

Destiny hopes to finish writing her first young adult novel, titled "I'm No Ordinary Girl,” by the end of the year.

Destiny Constantin is a self-taught baker who enjoys baking for friends and family. When she is not teaching, reading, or writing, she binge-watches Netflix or a Hallmark, Disney, or superhero movie.

John Constantin is a loving and caring father and husband. He has a passion for computers and everything technology. He enjoys watching football and wrestling when he is not working on a project with his daughter.

John and his daughter, Destiny, love sharing their writing journey, book projects, and conducting author interviews on their podcast "Chasing Stories." He loves coming up with crazy ideas and helping his daughter create stories that will inspire others.

First, let me say that the layout of this book is beautiful. It is worth having just for how pretty it is. Second, the story is engaging and definitely one worth reading. It is a story for an older child - a second or third-grade reader, in my opinion. However, it is not terribly difficult and an one that would quickly get the attention of the child as it kept mine. I highly recommend it.
