The Joy of Advent with Saint Benedict
The Meaning and Celebration of Advent

I have heard it said many times that Christmas is for children. As someone who is moving past the middle age years and who has always been very fond of Christmas, I can only say: I hope not! I hope that Christmas is truly a festival of light and happiness for everyone. Yet I also think that Christmas for young and old (and middle aged!) alike is only celebrated well when the beautiful season of Advent is truly entered into as a time of preparation in joyful hope for the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
