Hertling has a gift for AI fiction that is both frightening and fascinating. This book will not disappoint.

Although not a,true "geek", I do have enough knowledge to have processed all of the computer/AI portions of the book. I think it is too full of computer/AI information for the casual reader. I commend the story. Editing errors; what there were of them I didn't notice. This is the first book that I have read by this author. A good read for the tech geek.

The book has an interesting plot but the story is not well written. The are numerous chapters that are boring and do not advance the story.

I didn't read read the first two but just jumped in and read this one. May have made for a different experience than some others had but I was pleasantly surprised. Basic AI equal rights struggle plus some girl meets AI/boy save the world/puppen story. (Puppen: a puppy/kitten genetic hybrid)

Good read.  All three books of the series are worth reading.

I nearly quit during the first 50 pages, not because it was a little slow in the beginning, but because the male author wrote a shero who cried at the drop of a hat. Very annoying! She got over it, finally, and I'm so glad I kept reading. The IT detail was fascinating, and the action was believable (speaking as a non-geek). It left me wondering what might be possible for human implants and IT in general in the next 20 years. The last third of the book was a little rushed (it's also where the editing fell short), but it was certainly good enough to keep me reading into the wee hours of the morning. I just had to find out how they saved us from an AI run amok!
