Yep, I really enjoyed this book! Having known Kirk since he was a little boy, I was curious as to how a book by him would turn out - and I was very pleasantly surprised! I am looking forward to reading the next one and seeing what he does with the characters! Any legal-eeze in the book was very well explained in plain ole English, so I never felt that I needed a law degree to read and enjoy this book! I was a tiny disappointed in the disposal of the "bad guy", but other than that, I would highly recommend this book to anyone!
I could not put this book down. The characters are realistic and complex, the plot is very well organized and suspenseful and I found myself completely absorbed in it. Chicago's financial and legal world is the perfect setting for this riveting tale of family, ethics and loss. If you like Harlan Coben's Martin Bolitaire series, you'll love Kirk Ross's easy Chicago style.
This book is a real cliff-hanger! Loved the characters and driving plot. A great summer read.
