This is a collection of short stories on cases that Watson alluded to in the original stories. Each one is by a different author, presented in chronological order, so you start with Holmes' first case, and then progress through his career. Most of the stories are well done, and capture the flavor of Doyle's originals. If you're a Holmes fan, you'll like this.

It's a Mammoth Book, but the stories are uneven. Some are inventive and carry the flavor of the original, but others less so.

This is a good collection of Holmes pastiches. Some are very good, some not so much, but all are entertaining and a lot of fun for the Holmes fan.

An interesting collection with the usual mix of great and not so great stories.

Very good to excellent Sherlock Holmes stories, many of which are written in a style similar to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s. All appear to be inspired by cases that Dr. Watson mentioned but never got around to writing up for publication.
