Overview

Follow the next generation of the McClane family as they fight to overcome the nightmares of their pasts and press forward toward a new future together. As Paige struggles to fit in with the family, Simon must deal with his feelings for Samantha, feelings he would just as soon forget. With Cory’s return, everyone fears that he will never recover from the loss of his little sister.

Once again, the McClane family comes up against conflict and hardship in book five of the series. They will take on an unforeseen threat, welcome new people into their small town and discover potential betrayals within the community. Important new alliances are made, which will aid in securing and defending the family and their expanding town. Relationships are deepened while others are severed. And Reagan’s courage will be tested as she must face her most difficult adversary yet.

Just finished book no. Five. When will or has the next book 6 be available? Yes this series has had some problems with editing and confusion with characters but I still enjoyed the series so far and want to see what happens next.

I have given the other four books in this series 5 well deserved stars. I can't believe this was written by the same author. It is poorly edited, and the sentence structure is awful. Too often the word 'her' should be 'him' in a paragraph, or names are actually mixed up. The light romance that made the characters so real in the first books is now just an overdone repeat of the same feelings and interactions with different characters. Also by page 200 I was sick of hearing about picking another bean or tomato, canning them or fixing them for dinner. Where is the action and great plotting that moved the first books along at a fast pace? This is a book about an apocalypse, so it shouldn't be so boring. I regret paying $5.99 for this book and the fact that I was truly excited for it to come out. A very unhappy reader. Jp
