Don’t touch the nanny. It’s one rule I’m most certainly going to break.

Since becoming a single father, I have two things that keep me sane—my daughter Lily and playing football for the NFL. But when my meddling sister hires a nanny without my knowledge, I’m not thrilled to come home and find the woman has taken over my house. Our instant attraction is one more complication I don’t need in my life.

But my daughter loves Amelia, and I will do anything for that tiny munchkin. Even if it means walking around with blue balls most of the time. Why does the nanny have to be so sweet—and drop dead gorgeous? She’s driving me crazy. Never in my life have I wanted a woman more.

I just need to make it through this season. I can do that. Hands free, of course. But then there’s that moment, and I know she’s thinking what I’m thinking and, well, yeah. Screw the rules...

2.5+ “Not what I was expecting” Stars Having read and enjoyed some of Ms. Price’s MMA fighters books, I was more than delighted when I had the chance to snag an ARC copy of The Nanny Rules. I mean, a professional football player/single dad who falls for the live-in nanny? It was like this was meant to be! Amelia was sweet and caring and could have some funny moments. I just couldn’t understand most of her decisions regarding her past and withholding that information, which led to me wanting to slap some sense into her many, many times. Brody was mostly dreamy, but my favorite part in this type of story is the Daddy-daughter bond and since huge chunks of time would be skipped over, I didn’t really get to witness this. Also, he had a tendency to overreact that was not attractive, like, at all. Unfortunately, I wanted to like the book more than I actually did. My main issue was that there was a lot of telling instead of showing, especially in the beginning. This made it difficult for me to really connect with the characters and make me feel their chemistry. Also, most of the obstacles they had to overcome felt completely forced. The Nanny Rules was overall a sweet romance with a great premise but it was more of a miss then for me. I did enjoy some parts of it and I can’t say I didn’t like it in a general way, I was just expecting it to totally wow me. *I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book*

There are few better romance novel heroes than a hunky professional athlete who is a loving father to his little daughter. When star quarterback Brody, whose cheating wife died in a car accident, finds out that his sister has hired a beautiful woman who also has a master’s in psychology to be the nanny for his daughter, we all know what is going to happen between them. It’s all pleasant, if predictable. The most unbelievable aspect of the novel is that he’s the quarterback for the Cleveland Browns and that they’re a playoff-caliber team. Yeah, that’s harder to buy than the hot nanny plotline. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book that I received from Netgalley; however, the opinions are my own and I did not receive any compensation for my review.

This book is an easy read, and not a bad way to spend a few hours. However, I personally wasn't riveted to the story and probably won't even remember what it was about in a couple of weeks. I had trouble connecting with either of the main characters, and I didn't feel the connection between the two of them either. This is my first book by this author, and I would give another book a try to see if I personally felt more of a connection with the characters/story. Lovers of sports romances may like this one a lot; it was just okay for me.

I really enjoy sports-related stories so this book had a lot going for it to start with, but I really liked the way the author developed the characters and set up the whole story. I love Amelia (Mia) and the way she relates to Lily, Brody's 4-year-old daughter. Her background as a child's psychologist puts her in the perfect position to help Lily cope with and bounce back from losing her mom and Brody to come to terms with what he dealt with in the past year. Both are hurting and in need of tender loving care. Amelia has a back story with her crazy family that makes her real and believable. The heat between Mia and Brody is over the top, so if you don't like your story a little spicy then it might not be the right book for you, although I didn't feel that it was all about sex scenes. I liked the struggle that they (Mia and Brody) were put through to try to keep their hands off of each other and Lily was such a cute little gal who already knew how to manipulate people for her own gain. and she really, really, really wants a new mommy. It was fun to have a hands-on dad in the story and I thought the interaction between the 3 main characters was essential to building a believable storyline. I received an Advanced Readers Copy in exchange for my honest opinion and I am glad to have found a new author to follow.

Wow! This is my first book by Melynda Price and will not be my last. The dynamic between Amelia and Brody was phenomenal. The feelings they shared and hid from one another were so intense. There were a couple of times when Brody frustrated me with his back and forth, but I could totally understand his reasonings...most of the time. He had a lot of hurt and anger to deal with along with raising his daughter and playing focused in his games. As the story went on, I truly loved Amelia more. Her relationship with Lily was so heartwarming. There were lots of times when Lily would steal the scenes. She was adorable and my heart strings were pulled with her little heartaches. I loved the ending and that Brody and Amelia were able to clear up all misunderstandings. I received this book in exchange for an honest review from the publisher through Netgalley.

This was a pretty simple story. It was mostly predictable, but that's okay sometimes because a good story doesn't always have to be really unique and different, sometimes it is nice to read what you're comfortable with. It had its steamy moments between Brody and Amelia, and its sweet moments with little Lily as well. It had all the drama of back stories that made their reasons for fighting the relationship make sense. Now, I feel like some of the back stories could have been given more details earlier on in the story, without knowing some of the details it made it irritating at first when they would push each other away for what seemed like no good reason. In the end it all tied up into a nice HEA, and I loved the little family the three of them created together.

This book wasn't what I was expecting, not that it was bad but again I thought it was going tobe a little lighter. So we meet Brody who has lost his wife a year ago in an car accident where she was found in a car with one of his team mates proving that she was having an affair with him. He comes home to find Amelia a nanny whom his sister has hired. He is attracted to her but fighting it because he does not want to love and go thru suffering and betrayal again. Amelia is also attracted to Brody but really does not fight the attraction instead she seems to throw herself at him and want to convince him that he needs to let the pain go. I wanted to slap her sometimes I get that you want to help and that you like him but have a little self respect. Rcvd and ARC at no cost to author..(netgalley) Voluntarily reviewed with my own thoughts and opinions

Amelia is in love with her boss, Brody Evans, NFL quarterback, and father of a wonderful little girl named Lily. However, Brody has trust issues because his wife who was killed in a car accident a year ago was having an affair with his teammate. When Amelia decides to give in to Brody’s charms, she begins to have doubts about his feelings and though it it is breaking her heart, she is considering accepting the new internship that is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Will Brody make the right choice? I enjoy romances where there is love on one side and the other partner takes time to come around realizing the wonderful person that has been there for them the whole time. There were times I wanted to slap Brody for the things he said to Amelia, but his grand gesture makes up for his denseness. There is also a sweet family dynamic thrown in with Brody’s adorable daughter, Lily. A charming and sexy sports romance that is steamy and sweet. Another great summer read! Thank you to Ms. Price for giving me the opportunity to review this book with no expectation of a positive review.

A cute romance! I liked Brody, Amelia, and Lily (Brody's daughter)--they're likable characters whom it's easy to root for. Brody and Amelia have great chemistry, and it was entertaining to see them grow closer as they watched Survivor together. ;) Amelia's reaction when her past discovers her new life was more than a little baffling, though--earlier misunderstandings made a lot more sense (talking about deceased spouses is awkward at the best of times, add in a guy who doesn't like to discuss his personal life and of course your conversations are going to have giant gaps) these omissions started to feel more manufactured than organic. Still, the grand gesture and resolution were beyond adorable, leaving me with a happy smile on my face. So, all's well that ends well. Plus, the smexy scenes are hot--win-win! As a huge football fan I am always hesitant and excited to read a sports romance with football as the backdrop. I thought Price did a good job incorporating it and also keeping accurate (minus the Browns winning a Super Bowl - that's pure fantasy). I found the main characters, Amelia and Brody, likeable enough, although some of the decisions Amelia made seemed incongruent with her having a masters in psychology. As with most romances where kids are prevelant to the story, I loved Lily. She was adorable and added to the story. However, there was nothing to separate The Nanny Rules from the hundreds of other sports romances (and romances in general) out there. Amelia and Brody have baggage that causes issues. Brody doesn't want a relationship but of course Amelia talks him into it and apparently he is incapable of controlling his urges. They fall for each other. Poorly communicate. And then there is a big gesture. The writing isn't bad though and I really liked both Penner (Brody's teammate) and Julia (Amelia's friend and Brody's sister). I wouldn't mind seeing this be turned into a series with these two as a feature (possibly together?) and a more original plot. I received an advanced copy through Netgalley in return for an honest review.

My name is Brody and I’m a quarterback for the NFL. Last year I lost my wife in a car accident and found out at the same time she was having an affair with one of my teammates. Said teammate is still playing and all I want to do is rearrange his face every time I see him. This taught me a valuable lesson, don’t trust another woman with your heart again. My salvation has been my sweet daughter, Lily. We are both trying to heal. Returning home after training camp, I find a gorgeous woman in my kitchen. Apparently my sister hired a nanny to help me with Lily, and right now I’m really pissed. I can’t bring myself to fire her, thou. Lily loves her and she’s really an amazing woman. Now all I need to do is stop thinking about getting her in my bed. When I was offered this job as a nanny, by Brody’s sister Julia, it was a Godsend. I needed to get away from Minnesota, and leave behind my past. Ohio is perfect for me to start a new life. Lily is a wonderful child and I’m enjoying taking care of her. The one problem is the attraction I have with her father. I realize nothing can come of this since he’s my boss, but I also see the way he looks at me. I also understand that Brody doesn’t want any type of relationship with any woman. How can I fight that mindset. The chemistry with Brody and Amelia is off the charts! Can Amelia convince Brody that they could be so good together if he just opened up his heart again. I truly enjoyed reading this book so much I read in one day. I received a copy of this arc in exchange for an honest review.

The Nanny Rules by new to me author Melynda Price, is hot read with a lot of heart. The two main characters have amazing chemistry and the author does a great job of creating longing and desire. Amelia Renshaw recently graduated college with a master's degree in child psychology. She was hired to nanny four-year-old Lily, the daughter of NFL quarterback Brody Evans. Brody is a single dad and he and Lily have a wonderful relationship. His work schedule is quite demanding, so employing a nanny was a necessity. Amelia was hired by Brody's sister, while Brody was out of town. So needless to say, he was more than surprised to see a stranger in his kitchen that looked like Miss America, since he was expecting a Mrs. Doubtfire type. Amelia and Brody share an immediate attraction, and over time they fall into lust and love. This story is nicely written and the characters are well-defined. I formed an immediate connection with both Amelia and Brody, and their sexy times are very steamy. Brody's hatred toward the press and Amelia's need to start a new life is quite compelling. Lily is beyond cute, and I loved the way the author created the new family dynamic. Overall, this is an entertaining novel that should be added to your TBR list. Complimentary copy provided by the publisher via NetGalley.

Feel like I have read this story before but cannot remember the name of author or the work. Well anyway we have a grieving man with a daughter Lily. When Amelia arrives as Lily's nanny; Brody has trouble forming a relationship with Mia even though his daughter tells him to go for it. Characters and story with a Hallmark appeal. A copy of this book was provided by Entangled via NetGally with no requirements for a review. Comments here are my honest opinion."

Don’t Mess With The Nanny!! Brody is a star quarterback dealing with raising a daughter, the loss of his wife (along with her secrets) and trying to get his team to the Super Bowl. He needs a nanny to help with Lily, who is always first on his list, but he doesn’t expect Mia…she looks nothing like Mrs. Doubtfire especially when the first time he sees her she’s in her booty shorts. Mia is not only the nanny but her background is in phycology and she is trying to help little Lily with her mom’s passing. Brody has given up on love since he was burned so badly by his wife but that doesn’t stop his mind and body from wanting Mia. Only thing is everyone knows that you don’t mess around with the nanny. The chemistry is sizzling. Will all three of them be able to make it out with their hearts in tack?

After losing his wife Brody is doing what he can to be a good single parent, but with his busy work and game travel schedule sometimes it's hard to be there for his daughter. He knows he needs help, but admitting that fact is something he just won't do. His sister sees him struggling and steps in and hires a nanny for his daughter Lily while he is out of town, and the moment he wanders into his home and his eyes land on Mia he knows there is going to be a problem. She is beautiful, good with his daughter, draws him in like a moth to a flame... and that is a complication he does not need right now. But he just can't bring himself to fire her... As soon as I started this one I knew my heart was going to be in trouble, nothing says heart-tugging tale like a wounded single father adamant on not letting anyone close again for fear of falling. I had initially planned on reading a chapter before bedtime, but I ended up getting sucked into the pages of this story and wound up staying up until the wee hours of the morning to finish it. I loved watching "the dance" between Brody and Mia unfold, they had this undeniable spark that you could feel, but both were wounded by love and were determined to keep it out... but love just wouldn't take no for answer. Really enjoyed this one, it was a charming story brimming with feels and swoons, highly recommend! I requested an advanced copy of this title from NetGalley, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.

What a fun and sensuous love story! Without his knowledge, Brody Evans’ sister hires a nanny for his young daughter. He arrives home from an away football game and Amelia Renshaw is in his home. As a pro-athlete, he is at first wary of her…and she is hot! Amelia has a master’s degree in Child Psychology and knowing that this is a temporary job, is waiting for the right opening at a university or health clinic. In the meantime, she falls in love with Lily (who is adorable) and begins to know and have feelings for Brody. Brody is still dealing with the issues surrounding the death of his wife and his career demands that he travels. Amelia (or as Lily calls her Mia) is also dealing with a past harmful home situation and was determined to achieve her educational goals. Wonderful characters, humor, sizzling love…everything you want in a beautiful romance. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation for an honest review. (by paytonpuppy)

3 1/2 Stars! Brody is a NFL player and he became a single dad when his cheating wife was killed in a car accident. His sister hires her friend Amelia to be Lily's nanny. Neither Brody or Amelia expect that the sparks will fly between. This is a quick steamy read that is very predictable. Although enjoyed it, I was hoping for some unexpected twists and turns. I received an early copy courtesy of Entangled Publishing through NetGalley in exchange for a honest review.

The Nanny Rules by Melynda Price a five-star read that will make you want to break all the rules. This starts as one story and then turns into something so much deeper and more honest. Lily was such a great character, I sometimes find children in novels to be a little to well done, but Lily had a realness to her, the little foibles and interactions were believable and well written that is what made this such a fantastic read. Amelia wasn’t someone I liked all the way through, at times I found I wanted to shake her, but in the end, I adored her and wanted to wish her well in everything. Brody was the one who played the long game, he made the most difference to the story, he went from broken man to player of my heart. This is a typical will they wont they, but its done very well.

Loved this book. I'm a sucker for forbidden nanny/parent romances. This one didn't disappoint. Brody and Mia both have bad pasts and come together and form a relationship. I also love Brody as a dad. This was a first read of this author for me and I loved it. Their chemistry is off the charts! Hope to read more from this author.

4 stars. This is a new author to me and I will definitely be looking out for her in the future. This is a nice and easy, breezy romance with some added heat and a good storyline. Even though it's not original storyline, it is one I do enjoy and this one is well written and flows nicely and the characters were wonderful and developed nicely. Brody is swoony and a wonderful single dad, but his heart has been jaded. Hiring Amelia (Mia) as his little girl's nanny brings some much needed sunshine into his life although with her comes complication because of how she makes him feel. I enjoyed Brody and Amelia's story and watching their feelings grow and their dynamic change. I loved their interactions with sweet Lily. Such a wonderful heartwarming ending!

A hot and steamy read. Mia is doing what she loves while trying to heal her soul. Brody is recovering from a nerve wracking year. Lily is their common ground. Brody does not want to fall in love with anyone, especially his daughter’s hot nanny. Mia knows loving Brody is a huge risk. Separately and together they have to figure out if love is worth the risk. These two blaze a heated path across the pages as they reach for their fairytale ending.

LOVED this book!!! This is a wonderful romance that develops between a NFL quarterback and his daughter's nanny - yes, it's a common trope, but it is so well done that I just fell in love with the story and the characters. I found myself invested in their tale and wanting them to get their HEA ending. Both Brody and Mia are damaged by their pasts, however, while Brody wears his damage openly (of course it being openly discussed on sports shows might have helped), MIa has hidden hers and pretends that it doesn't exist - lying both to herself and others. I found myself engrossed in their lives and didn't want to put the book down. This is a new author to me and I can't wait to see what she writes next.
