This romantic regency mystery is well written, engaging and loosely based on characters found in Jane Austen’s book “Pride and Prejudice”. This is a simple sweet tale that solves the mystery of the thief in the Bingley home and introduces characters that will no doubt be found in the next three books in the Dark Darcy series. I especially enjoyed the part near the end in which Darcy tells Emily what he found out about the ghostly face in the attic window. As I was reading I felt that this is a book I would recommend to teenage girls who might be interested in a regency romance. Thank you to the author for the copy of this book to read and review.
I enjoyed the romantic mystery. It had engaging characters. Look forward to other books.
This is a romantic Regency mystery inspired by Jane Austen's Pride & Prejudice. I don't recall reading Pride & Prejudice so this was a beautiful Regency story for me. I enjoyed the language, the mystery and yes, just the right amount of romance. Superstitions, a ghost, a handsome highwayman and a mystery to solve ties it all together beautifully! I really liked this story and I would like to thank the author for the gift of such an enjoyable read!
