The Pearl Affair

Set in O'ahu, Hawaii, in December 1941, two investigators for the prosecutor's office, John Jardine and Val Cederlof, examine the lifeless body of a young woman. This is the second victim within a month. Murders are rare on the Islands. Detectives from the Honolulu Police Department resent the two investigators poking their noses in HPD's case.
