I enjoyed the book especially since I was looking to fill a gap in my knowledge re: the Pequot War. Having been raised in CT I was aware of their history. As a genealogist I found it rounded out a great deal of information re: NY Dutch. If fact it gave me a detailed description of a dutch farm which I needed for my Dutch Ancestors at the Wallabout, New Amsterdam. I've loaned the book out to a history professor at UWSP who is also enjoying it. All and All a good informative read.
