Title: The Perfect English Grammar Workbook - Simple Rules and Quizzes to Master Today's English Author: Lisa McLendon Publisher: Zeohris Press & Callisto Publishing Published: 1-10-2017 Pages: 214 Genre: Education Sub-Genre: English, Grammar, Word & Languages, Reference, Etymology ISBN: 9781623157968 ASIN: B01NCJBQNE Reviewed For Callisto & Zephyros Press Reviewer: DelAnne Rating: 4.75 Stars Whether you are wanting to brush up your grammar skills or challenge yourself. The Perfect English Grammar workbook is the perfect tool to do so. I thought I remembered all those colons vs. Semicolons & commas vs. run on sentences. Some came back, others did not. I did enjoy challenging myself over it though. Those in high school can use it to prep for those essays for the upcoming SAT test. College students and grads can help refresh your memory and improve writing skills. I think this is a great workbook to practice and hone your Grammar skills for personal and business correspondence. Don't laugh but I enjoyed doing the exercises and realizing how much of these grammar rules I had retained. My rating of "The Perfect English Grammar Workbook" is 4.75 out of 5 stars.
This is an excellent resource. The explanations are simple to understand and it is easy to read. It has short quizzes --yes, with answers-- to test yourself. Good for work, college and even high school. I mean, it is readable for high school level. (Not that I expect anyone in high school to actually read a book on grammar on their own.) The book does have a glossary. This makes it easy to look up the definition of grammar terms like, "subjunctive" without the added wordage found in a dictionary. I find it useful to look-up grammar rules when I write. The Nook version has links to the chapter where a grammar rule is explained.
