The Present Moment: A Daybook of Clarity & Intuition
Foreword by Marcia Emery, PhD

The Need
We're more distracted, fragmented, pressured, and rushed than ever before. By going so fast, we lose touch with our bodies and nature, where the wisdom of our souls residesas a result, we often make unhealthy choices that don't support our life purpose, the people in our lives, or the longevity of the planet.

To survive and grow, we must turn within to find the quiet center and our own authentic truth, unaided by media and technology. To do that we must rebuild our "intuition muscle," and learn to enter the present moment, the only place we can contact our soul and hear "the mind in the heart," the voice of appropriateness.

The Present Moment is filled with information about: beginner's mind, paying close attention, stillness, centeredness, finding connection to life, living a life of inquiry, maintaining focus, going with the flow, decoding the nonverbal information from the body, trusting the right brain, direct experience, and intuition.

The Present Moment is a perpetual daybook that puts the principles of mindfulness and intuition development into a daily practice format, emphasizing the "power of now" to bring clarity to mind and heart. Each day of the year has an affirmation and an exercise to practice one key idea, accompanied by a story that brings home the message of the affirmation. The books front material provides description of key aspects of living a spiritual life. The foreword is by Dr. Marcia Emery, an expert in intuition, dreams, and healing.

The Present Moment is a great companion to a journal practice or it can be used to provide daily inspiration, either day by day, or in oracle fashion by simply opening the book anywhere.

The Present Moment guides readers in developing the art of paying attention. By applying intuition and mindfulness every day, readers gain reliable access to a wealth of inner wisdom. By feeling the presence and purpose in all things, even in the space around us, readers can know the unified field as a reality, and take responsible action based on their interrelatedness with the whole.

About the Author

Penney Peirce is a gifted intuitive and a popular lecturer, counselor, and trainer specializing in the art of skillful perception. She works as a coach to business executives, psychologists, scientists, other trainers, and those on a spiritual path and is known for her ability to present complex ideas in a common sense, easy-to-understand way.
Penney has been interested in the inner dynamics of perception and the mysteries of consciousness for as long as she can remember. In California, she found herself in the midst of the burgeoning self-help and consciousness movement in the early seventies, and soaked up courses in Tai Chi, meditation, nutrition, shamanism, and clairvoyance development. She found she was quite talented as a clairvoyant, and discovered her dreams were unusual and often precognitive. Soon she became focused entirely on developing her skill as a professional intuitive, doing life readings and teaching intuition development trainings.
Penney became affiliated with The Center for Applied Intuition in San Francisco, founded by Dr. William Kautz, who developed a technique to use intuitives for scientific research. It was through this organization that she traveled to Japan to teach and counsel, a connection that continued for over twenty years. She has led vision quest tours to Peru, Egypt, Japan, and the American Southwest, and has been a TV talk show host. She has also worked in South Africa and throughout Europe.
Penney Peirce is the author of The Transformation Trilogy, which includes Leap of Perception: The Transforming Power of Your Attention, Frequency: The Power of Personal Vibration, and The Intuitive Way: The Definitive Guide to Increasing Your Awareness. In addition, Penney has written The Present Moment: A Daybook of Clarity and Intuition, Be the Dreamer, Not the Dream (originally Dreams for Dummies), and Dream Dictionary for Dummies.
She is featured in a number of books, including: The Purpose of Your Life by Carol Adrienne, The Celestine Prophecy and Tenth Insight Experiential Guides, by Adrienne & Redfield, Return of the Revolutionaries by Dr. Walter Semkiw, and Intuiting the Future and Channeling: The Intuitive Connection by Dr. William Kautz.
