The Protector: MAC was a great 5 star read and book 1 in the Cover Six Security.This is also a spinoff from the Chesapeake Blade series. And the cover is amazingly hot. This is my first read from Lisa B. Kamps and I loved it. Mac is ex military and is now working for Cover Six Security. He has some emotional and physical scars and is not looking for a relationship. When he meets TR there is something about her that pulls him in, but he tries to keep her at arms length. TR is a reporter looking for a story, when she ends up in danger Mac is determined to keep her safe. Can he keep his heart out of it or will he let his guard down? Can he keep her safe? There is so much more to this great read.I was on the edge of my seat with suspense, I had to see what was coming next. All of the secondary characters were great. I was left with some questions that I’m hoping book two will answer for me. I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book. Lisa B. Kamps does a great job of pulling you right in with her writing. 1-click and get started today.

The Protector: MAC (Cover Six Security Book 1) by Lisa B. Kamps 5 Stars This was my first book by this author and it's also the first in this series...I loved it!! I had a really hard time putting it down when real life interrupted. The beginning of this book had me holding my breath almost literally..Holy Moly what a start..I could tell there was a bit of history I didn't have between Mac and TR and found out that there is a prequel and I can't wait to read that one now as well. Mac was an ultimate leading man and I loved his alpha side, but I also loved the challenge that TR posed proving she wasn't this weak little thing that let people walk all over her. I loved that this book had everything from danger to suspense to little twists and turns placed perfectly. The storyline was awesome, smooth and easy to follow. I loved the other guys in Cover Six and hope this series includes every one of them. So look forward to reading the next, I fell in love with Daryl in this story. Awesome start to this series. Loved It!!

The Protector: Mac is the first full book in Lisa B. Kamps’ new series called Cover Six Security! I have read other of her series so I knew that whatever direction she has decided to take us into, it would be smashing! And it was! I had not read the real introduction to the series, the novella where we meet first our Tabitha “TR” Meyers and Gordon “Mac” MacGregor so I know I need to go back to it as apparently it gives us even more of the backstory! The Protector: Mac is filled with suspense, intrigue and action … it is twisted and distorted and at time you have to take a moment and think “WTH!” and then … it all comes together! I loved how the writer had added another point of view in addition to Mac and TR …. wait for it …. the bad guy! It added a whole another layer to the atmosphere! I cannot wait for all the other guys in the Cover Six Security to get their own stories and I hope that we will also get a bit more of Mac and TR as they are part of the gang AND (not giving it away), TR is also changing careers!

This book starts out with Mac rescuing TR which is where the prequel, Covered by a Kiss, left off. In short, TR and Mac have a history and haven't seen each other in a yr, until TR approaches Mac for help. Mac is tough but has a real weakness for TR. There's chemistry between them although Mac's tried to deny it and TR has wondered why he turned her down. He feels unworthy of her and once she asks for help, she's pretty determined to get answers and her man. But first they have to get through the treats and mystery that surround what should be a simply story TR is writing, but it's so much more. A different type of book than I've read in the past by Ms. Kamps but she doesn't disappoint. Great story, great characters and I'm anxious to read more! I received and ARC and am voluntarily leaving my review.

I am so happy to finally get the rest of Mac & TR's amazing story after the tease from Covered by a Kiss! I honestly can't begin to say enough about what a perfect romantic suspense Lisa Kamps has written here! Her style is so refreshing! All of the elements that I want to see are put together in a way that made this an unputdownable very late night read for me. Drama, suspense, danger, chemistry, romance and steamy heat; together with absolutely stellar characters (both main and supporting) an infusion of humor and a storyline that will grab you and hold on until the end. And what an ending! I love the way this epilogue is written! I can't wait for more in this incredible new series!!

Every page filled with angst, tension, & some hotter than hot sparks. I am literally on the edge of my seat now waiting for the next book, since I am so excited from this one I can hardly sit still.
