This provision of Serenity is the fruit of true reliance (Tawakkul) upon the All-Mighty. As Ibn Al-Qayyim further asserts, the heart must learn the art of delegation (Tafweedh): "The perfection of reliance is delegating the matter entirely to God, and accepting His judgment with contentment." When the heart achieves this state, it is immediately freed from the heavy burden of trying to control what is beyond its power.
