I do not post reviews of books I have read but it is very difficult to get my daughter to go to sleep and this book put her right to sleep within 10 min of reading it to her!!

Many a time children are affected by their surroundings and happenings around them and this may hinder sleep. In this story, Roger Rabbit is very tired but finds it difficult to fall asleep. He goes with his mamma to meet Uncle Yawn. On the way they meet exciting characters like Sleepy Snail and Heavy-Eyed Owl who give them tips on how to fall asleep. Uncle Yawn uses his magic spells and magic sleeping powder on Roger Rabbit to make him fall asleep.  This book is an ideal storybook for parents to keep in their personal collection because it works as a useful guide in helping them handle their kids' sleep problems. It works as a good bedtime storybook for children. The characters are all lovable and charming and the bright illustrations give life and movement to the story. Whether it is Uncle Yawn and his book full of magic spells, or the wise Heavy-Eyed Owl and Sleepy Snail, they all enthrall young readers with their behavior. The story is simple and there is a serenity and soothing quality in the flow of the story that makes it relaxing to readers. The innovative techniques introduced by the author to get children to sleep are enjoyable, yet at the same time effective.

As much as I have heard great things about this book, my almost 5 year old daughter is immune to it. She enjoys listening to it, but the magic beans aren't working on her. She is just as wired, thirsty, not tired and restless as she is any other night with or without any other book. The story isn't too bad, though the reading style is odd; which is great if it helps kids sleep, just not mine. I think she is broken. Go the "F" to sleep is more appropriate for her.....

I have read this book to my son 3 nights now and it has not put him to sleep. I am giving it one star because he enjoys hearing it, but as far as sleeping..... no luck!

Every time I have read this book, my children have fallen asleep. Even at nine years of age. My niece who was spending the night and couldn't sleep, crying to go home, was asleep by the end of the book and saved a two a.m. run for her mother.

i found this book very long winded and difficult to read fluidly enough to relax my child. She did enjoy hearing her name inserted into the story. I will try a few more times but right now it did not get my child to sleep.

My son has anxiety. He has a hard time falling asleep and sleeping restfully. We started using this book and it always helps him to relax enough to sleep more soundly.

I was skeptical about this, but my kids are terrible about sleeping and I figured it was worth a shot. I'M SO GLAD I HAVE THIS BOOK! My kids are falling asleep faster and doing a better job sleeping through the night. Not only that, but my four-year-old likes the story. She realized what the story accomplishing ("Is this book supposed to make me tired? Because I'm really tired now.") but still asks me to read it every night. I'm very pleased with this book.

I'm a nanny and take care of a 2 year old girl. Usually for nap time I have to rock her for 30 minutes before she even shuts her eyes! But today after reading this book she was asleep within 5 minutes of the story being over! I'm so glad I tried it with her. We will absolutely be reading it again!
