About the Author

Suzie O’Connell is the USA TODAY bestselling author of the Northstar romances. The series is the product of a love affair with Southwestern Montana that began with a two-week adventure at her stepsister’s rustic cabin in her teens. That love affair shows no sign of abating.

She has been writing stories for as long as she can remember, and her love of writing and of Montana pushed her to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Literature and Writing from the University of Montana-Western. What else would you expect from a self-professed mountain-loving nerd?

When she isn’t writing, you’ll probably find Suzie in the mountains with a camera in hand and enjoying the beauty of Montana with her husband Mark, their daughter Maddie, and their golden retriever Reilly.

Simple story. Not quite to my tastes, but it's a good read for people who like mostly uncomplicated and quick romances.

Beautiful This was a wonderfully written at about standing up for what is right. Annie got pregnant while in college but finished and has her son. She felt his needed far roots and saw Cody's dad. Found out he was married. But Tom's father decided to give her some land, a house & animals. But now the electricity keeps going off and she meets Gabe, a dream come true.

I really liked this book,I like how Annemarie was finally able to confront Toms wife and Tom in the grocery store and that someone else came to Annemarie and told her she had been one of Toms women too. Early in the book Gabe thought he would get a person out to the Garret ranch to look for water, I kept thinking perhaps they would start drilling and hit oil, but I loved the ending. Where they will become a family, I loved the love between Cody and Gabe. Great story.

Three stars because it was a little too much nice. The hero to the recuse. From the start of story, the families rushed the relationship.

Annemarie, a very independent and intelligent woman, was trying to make a good life for her son Cody and herself by trying to keep up an old run down ranch. Her trust in men shattered by a hurtful past relationship. Can she ever learn to trust again? Can she care for anyone else again? Gabe, a hard working man who had been hurt and has no trust in women anymore. Can he ever find someone to trust and love him for himself? Will fate bring these two together and will they give in to the attraction they find for each other or will their past keep their feelings from letting go of the wall their hearts have put up This is a heartwarming story that pulls you in and won't let you go. I was given this book for an honest review. I had it on pre-order anyways. I highly recommend this beautiful love story.
