I knew that sexual addiction was a real problem in this world, enhanced by the internet availablity in recent years, but what I didn't realize was how prevalant it is in the church. This is something that not only men deal with but women, too. I really liked this book because it was from a personal point of view. Mr. Genung shares openly about how this addiction ruled his life and caused personal anguish for him. He takes us through the steps that it takes to conquer this problem and also shows what happens when you don't conquer it. This problem kills marriages and relationships and the people around the addict really suffers. One of my absolute favorite parts of the book is a chart that shows "What Parent's or Other May Have:" and gives examples like "Been Disappointed in You" or "Rejected You". He then gives the the truth through God's Word that we don't have to believe these things that others have told us. I loved this because it shows in a clear, concise way how much God loves us and how we have grace through Him. I would highly recommend this book for anyone suffering from addiction and/or for church leadership and counselors to help the people in their church who are suffering with this addiction. It was an easy book to read (although very sad to see what sexual addiction does to a person and their family) and it will help you to get on the road to recovery or help you understand someone who is dealing with it. *This book was provided to me for my honest review by Side Door Communications
