About the Author

Veronica O’Connor hails from the hills of Saint Catherine, Jamaica, West Indies. She’s second in a family of eleven born to her mother. Growing up, Veronica attended the Point Hill Leased All Age School. After graduating from the ninth grade, she was privileged to obtain a position as a basic school teacher and hold that position for ten years. She then transitioned to the primary school and taught there for another two years. After that, she migrated to Toronto, Canada. In Canada, she worked as a personal support worker at Laughlin Centre Nursing Home for five years. Then she attended George Brown College to pursue a diploma to become a registered practical nurse. After graduating, she worked as a staff nurse at Baycrest Geriatric Hospital for ten years, then at the Village of Sandalwood Park Long-Term Care for another fifteen years. In 2006, Veronica wrote and published a cookbook, titled Veronica’s Caribbean Dishes. Then in 2011, she published another book, titled Prayer or Communication with God. The Roller-Coaster Life of Survival is her third book. Veronica continues her spiritual walk with God as she is presently an active member of the WOR prayer team at her church.
