The Roots of Pendle Hill

This is essentially the first three chapters of a history of Pendle Hill up to 1950, written at the urging of Anna Brinton while the author was in residence. Pendle Hill was the first place to which Carol Murphy turned to nurture her renewed religious faith, and it was there that her writing ability found recognition.
