Lyndsay Martin wrote The Santa Claus Key as a Christmas gift for her daughter.

She was inspired to write it when she and her family discovered a special key left

by Santa on Christmas morning in 2017, their first Christmas in a new house with

no fireplace.

Leaving their Santa key out on Christmas Eve has become a beloved tradition for

them every year since.
