After finding, and then losing, his father, Bernard Samson, a billionaire, then discovering himself as the last direct descendant of the famed knight, Sir Lancelot, retrieving King Arthur's sword, Excalibur, and, finally, surviving his own death in THE EXTRAORDINARY ADVENTURES OF ALFRED KROPP, Alfred, naturally, now finds life a tad dull.

Except for the new sport at school called "Kropping" -- a practice of daily harassment and humiliation recently adopted by his classmates -- his life has pretty much returned to normal. Boring. It seems his days of saving the world with OIPEP are over.

Until someone ordered his extraction and he is kidnapped. He awakens aboard a ship, foggy and disoriented. In no time, he's forced out of a plane over the Arabian Desert and is preparing to speed across the dunes on sand-foils at 150 miles per hour.

Their target? The Hyena, a terminated OIPEP agent who has stolen the Seals of Solomon. The Great Seal, a ring, and the Lesser Seal, also known as the Holy Vessel, must be intercepted before the Lesser Seal is broken, releasing evil the world has not seen for 3,000 years. But they are too late. They find the Lesser Seal has been compromised and once again Alfred is thrust into the role of unlikely hero.

I guarantee that once you start this book you will be unable to put it down. Rick Yancey is the master of cliffhanger chapter endings. His descriptions are at once gross and fascinating. Alfred is endearing and funny, and epitomizes the hero in all of us. Who doesn't have the childish dream to save the world and be a hero? Through Alfred Kropp, the reader can live that dream.

Rick Yancey has created an engaging character in Alfred. This reader eagerly awaits many more Alfred Kropp adventures!

I have read the first alfred kropp book and that one blew me away. In this exciting sequel to the alfred kropp tryliogy you will read about the great adventure alfred kropp now must endure, as he fights demons and the so thought terminated operative mike arnold, in a struggle to lock all the demons that has been released upon the earth back into the great seal. If you enjoy action packed books then get this one!

Alfred Kropp Saves the World again even though he's a clumsy oaf. He just seems to stumble over the truth a little too often. It's not bad and I do want to read the third book in the series but sometimes I really want to shake Alfred and tell him to just get on with it. This time he gets involved with Solomon's Seal and the demons locked away by Solomon centuries ago.

The Seal of Solomon by Rick Yancey This book was simply amazing and has a perfect character for it— Alfred Kropp. Alfred Kropp was returning to his original, calmer life until he gets kidnapped by OIPEP (which has many suave employees) for a mission involving demons last seen 3000 years ago. Alfred (once again) must become an unlikely hero to save the world for the second time! The book is action-packed, chock full of both fantasy and a James Bond-like mood. It was an awesome read, with all the cool “Code Delta-Alpha-Tango” stuff, and how Alfred found out that he “was the key to sending the demons back into their cages.” The book was an exceptionally good with the mixture of James Bond and the “Office of Interdimensional Paradoxes and Extraordinary Phenomena,” a.k.a OIPEP. Another reason why this book was an epic read was the character (of course), Alfred Kropp. Alfred Kropp is the high-schooler you’d last expect to be a superhero, since he’s overweight, has a rather lacking IQ, gand is the center of a sport called “Kropping,” which means you bully Alfred by hitting him or something. A few of the bullies say “Five points for a charlie horse, 10 for a noogie, and a bullseye for the crotch.” Throughout the series, Kropp retains much of his self-doubt, and his enemies really try to use that against him. But in the end, what makes Alfred Kropp a very well-built character is that he unwillingly becomes a superhero without doing much. That’s what really adds to the storyline; what makes it interesting. However, he does have some attributes of a superhero: He’s lost both of his parents, and he has seen his uncle die right in front of him. So, he was motivated to have revenge, like some superheroes do. Alfred Kropp- The Seal of Solomon is a perfect book for “binge-reading” or just during spare time. When I was reading it, it was like my hands were glued to the book; I couldn’t put it down. Ever. The quality of the high-paced fighting mixed with ominous suspense is too good to close and do something else. I’d say that this book isn’t only good for all teenagers, but especially for people that have nothing to do, this book is tremendously fun and can be even better if you have to put it down— You’re just thinking about what’ll happen to Samuel throughout the whole day. This book in the series is my favorite because I think that this one (2nd in the series) has the best storyline and the most high-quality and high-quantity action. So if you like fantastical books, voila! Or if you prefer books that remind you of Mission Impossible, voila! It’s all right here. Even before I read this, I could tell it was going to be good because the author was Rick Yancey, who also happened to author “The Fifth Wave” which became a very popular movie. He has also been commended by other well-known authors such as Rick Riordan and James Patterson. Yancey was also a New York Times bestselling author for the book aforesaid, The Fifth Wave. All in all, I absolutely recommend this book for anyone who’s interested in a fun, suspenseful, and awesome read; Or even for someone seeking to use up their excess time. The character Alfred Kropp is well-built throughout, the book has a truckload of action and has a perfect mix of fantasy and secret government organizations, all hidden from the public society.
