About the Author

EMBER CASEY is a USA Today bestselling author who lives in Atlanta, Georgia in a den of iniquity (or so she likes to tell people). When she's not writing steamy romances, you can find her whipping up baked goods (usually of the chocolate variety), traveling (her bucket list is infinite), or generally causing trouble (because somebody has to do it).

Felicia and Roman keep you guessing the entire time. A great read with plenty of laughter to go around.

This book definitely falls into my top 3 of all time favorite books! Felicia is a character every girl can relate too and Roman is a man every girl could fall for. The author captures the intensity between the two so perfectly that I felt every emotion they felt. The lessons Roman was teaching, not only left me Felicia confused about what was real and what was not, but me as well. And it only spiked my curiosity into Roman's feelings for her to continue reading, dreading the moment the book would end. I wanted to keep reading even after the boom ended. This book definitely doesnt disappoint. If i had to give it a 1-10 rating it would be above that!!

“If you could see yourself the way I see you…”   Reading an Ember Casey novel is like sitting down in a comfy chair with an adult beverage and your best friend for an evening of gossip: easy, fun, intriguing and informative at times, heartbreaking quite often, but you always want a repeat, you always want more.  This story, “The Secret of my Seduction”, is for every girl who (while maybe liking herself just fine) never really believes a guy could like her for her.  She’s the one always checking behind her to see who that gorgeous guy is looking at, signaling to, smiling at.  There will always be taller, shorter, curvier, skinnier, blonder, prettier (insert your adjective here) women than you.  It’s a fact of life.  It’s also a fact that just because you aren’t on the zenith of the superlative, a man (or woman, no hate) who can’t love you for  you—frizzy hair, a few extra pounds (ok, more than a few), and so on and so forth, isn't worth our time and energy.  This book is for us.  This book reinforces the realization that a guy worthy of us will “see” us, and he won’t necessarily see what we see—we just have to allow him to love us and to love him back.  I love Ember Casey for her detailed characterizations, her unusual storylines, her characters’ unusual outlooks on life.  Felicia makes me a believer in the necessity of gossip/celebrity tell-all magazines (which I rarely read…unless Joe Manganiello is on the cover).  Roman had me at his statement, “No one can resist the call of bacon”.  Bacon and this man???  This book is worth it just for that.

I was lucky to get an ARC and I love the stories where two people have a build up to the relationship. And I mean who does not love a boss/employee love story. I will say I would have loved to see more sexy time in this story but I liked it all the same. I loved that Felicia was not very confident and that Roman gave her the confidence that she was looking for. I am super excited about the continuation story and I can't wait to see what happens. As usual it's a pleasure to read anything that Ember Casey writes. Must read!!!

I received an advance copy of this book for an honest review. I really enjoyed the characters. The setting is Los angeles and the take over over of a celebrity magazine by a hot Roman who falls for felicia liddle, a reporter who believes she's just average. Roman gives her eight days to learn the art of seduction to gain an interview with any of the famous Fountaines to keep her job. Felicia turns out to be a fast learner, but feelings develop for each other causing Romans alpha side to show. I'm looking forward to more in this series.

My Thoughts: When I first heard about this new venture for Ember Casey, I was intrigued. So of course I'm going to get my hands on it as soon as I possibly can. I read it quickly because I was on the edge of my seat wanting to see what would happen next for Felicia, and by the end, I became very interested in seeing what's coming next. Felicia is that kind of girl who finds it difficult to flirt naturally. That's when Roman, her boss and the guy who's only giving her 8 days to keep her job, comes in. He assists her in learning how to seduce one of the Fontaines into an interview. Along the way, it becomes clear that there's some interest starting to develop between the two of them. That temptation is strong, and quite hard to resist... make that very hard to resist. In the end, will they be able to get the interview and keep it together long enough to go for each other? The Secret to Seduction is a great start to this new series featuring the Fontaines. It's impossible not to love Felicia, even with all the cringeworthy moments she has along the way. And Roman is so seductive, even the reader falls deep for him. I can't wait to see what happens next with everyone! My Rating: Very Good

This book had so much potential. The female lead has an incredible opportunity for help handed to her and all she does is whine about that help the ENTIRE book. Worse yet, her self esteem is so poor that she remarks about it constantly but then she puts on a dress and she says she movie star beautiful. I just can't understand the authors reason for making the woman so unlikable. The male lead is so blaise that you don’t get a feel for who he is at all. There is a short scene with one character that made you adore him and want the roles reversed. Then we go back to the no chemistry couple. I apologize for being so critical. I'm not suggesting you don't read it though. We all have our own opinions and the author was generous by allowing this book to be a free read. Thank you for that but it's just not a book I enjoyed.

Way too much introspection. I agree wirh other, this is a painfully slow moving book. I found myself skipping over more than half just to get to the end. Glad it was free.

The title sounded better than the book was. I thought this book was kind of boring. I like a faster paced book, it got better during the second half which is why I gave it four stars.

Felicia made me chuckle. That's what made roman think twice about her. She's adorable, sweet, smart, but with a low self esteem of herself. She believes she's just an ordinary pretty, but she's beautiful as a whole package, just not in a super model kind of way. Truthfully, she's terrible at flirting & awkward when attracted to someone, especially the super hot, self assured, roman. She surprises herself & roman as he decides to train her in the art of seduction so that she can get an interview with any one of the sexy fontaine men. Very steamy in a fun way.

I really enjoyed reading this book. Felicia is a very easy character to relate to. Her early attempts at trying to flirt in a bar were truly entertaining. Her boss, Roman, is a very strong character. I enjoyed watching him teach her how to flirt, so she can try to win an interview with a high profile celebrity. I can't wait to see where the story goes from here. Another great book by Ember Casey!
