Hankins did himself proud. Jo and Hirams characters were developed perfectly. Their integrity, determination and faithfulness was inspiration was so shining that everyone, except Lucy admired them. Even Drummand, the villain. Tweet used them but was, basically, a good soul. Hawkins knowledge of the true wests freighters wagons mighty teams and drivers was perfect. A true master of the western novel. I would recommend this book to all readers. (Goodreads)
