About the Author

As a young boy, Matt Allen used to prefer staying inside to read over going outside to play--especially once he discovered The Hardy Boys.  Many books later, after being introduced to adult thrillers, he read as much as he could get his hands on.  When he does put a book down, he squeezes in as much baseball as possible.  After a college degree and and handful of jobs that had nothing to do with writing, he sat down to write a story of his own.  The Silence is his first novel.  He is currently working on a second book.  Matt lives in Louisville, Kentucky, with his wife.

Matt Allen's first book is a success. His descriptive prose makes you feel like you are in the middle of the action, and there is a lot of action. For anyone who has spent any time in Louisville, Kentucky, this is a must read. The ending is unpredictable and an enjoyable destination. Bravo!
