When Kristi Stewart inherits a property in the old part of Savannah, she knows it comes with stories of hauntings. But she doesn’t believe in ghosts, even while she runs seances for the guests of McLane House Bed-and-Breakfast. Until the inexplicable midnight appearance of one of her infamous ancestors. Terrified, she flees into the night—and right into the arms of Dallas Wicker.

Dallas is trying to uncover the truth about a colleague who died under suspicious circumstances. As strange happenings continue to plague Kristi’s home, it is soon clear that there’s a very living threat in the neighborhood—several people have disappeared without a trace. Dallas can’t find any connection between the victims, but someone wanted them gone, and it might be linked to the history of McLane House. And that means Kristi should be very afraid.

The Summoning is another winning romantic paranormal suspense in the Krewe of Hunter series. Blending her successful mix of suspense and ghosts, the author snags the reader on page one and brings the story home for a satisfying HEA. Kristi Stewart inherited her great uncle's haunted McClane House Bed and Breakfast in the heart of Savannah. Rich in history, its of little wonder that the house is guarded by the ghosts of her ancestors. Two mysterious disappearances and two suspicious deaths have caught the interest of the Krewe who sends in agent Dallas Wicker to investigate. Working under the guise of private detective, Dallas rents a room at the McClane House that seems to be at the heart of the strange happenings. Kristi's first ghostly encounter sends her straight into Dallas's arms. A FBI agent and an inn keeper who both can see the dead find love in the pursuit of justice. Hollywood types and seances mix to create a enthralling tale of danger and intrigue. Fascinating ghosts, strong characters, and a twisted mystery capture the imagination and bring the story to life. My voluntary, unbiased review is based upon a review copy from Netgalley.

Savannah has lots of ghosts (it trades on that) but Kristi didn't expect the house she inherited - McLane Bed and Breakfast- to be haunted. Well, it is. And she's not happy about it. Dallas Wicker is looking into other strange things. The two of them pair up in a nicely done combo of mystery, ghosts, and romance where you can probably guess the ending but will enjoy getting there. It's well written and entertaining. I'd not read earlier books in this series (I'd not even heard of it!) but that wasn't problem at all- this was fine as a standalone. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. Perfect for travel.

I love the Krewe of Hunter books and I loved this one. Ms Graham can surely write a book that mixes paranormal, suspense and romance and this one was no exception. I was hooked since the first pages and didn't want to put it down. I liked the atmosphere, the likable characters, both human and ghosts, and the Savannah setting. It was an exciting reading experience that helped in a moment when I felt really blue making me smile and root for the characters. I look forward to read the next installment in this series. Highly recommended! Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine.
