The Sylvan Horn: Book One of the Sylvan Chord
The Sylvan Horn, a 2010 Readers Favorite Gold Medal Winner, offers a fantasy epic that delivers much more than the usual sword and sorcery fare. There is plenty of magic and swordplay for genre purists, but there is also an intriguing narrative that does not merely take us down exotic paths, but moves our consciousness toward a new perspective. While the story deals in magic, a careful reader will also find an allegory that uses mysticism to explore the dangers of our modern era.

This first book of The Sylvan Chord series explores the mystery and magic of the natural world while establishing a hierarchy of sylvan beings who guard the earth. With a storyline that traces the Big Bang to a mystical horn that could restore harmony to the world or destroy it, "The Sylvan Horn" takes us beyond our familiar sphere, parting the veil between the material and ethereal so that we may dare to glimpse the rarely seen musical realm that borders our world.

Awards:

2010 Readers Favorite Gold Medal Winner, 2010 Montaigne Medal Finalist (nominated for most thought provoking book), 2011 Indie Excellence Awards Finalist, 2011 International Book Awards Finalist, 2011 Eric Hoffer Award Finalist, Honorable Mention at the New England Book Festival
