Not "another" cookbook - my first thought! Well, was I wrong. The unique combination of art, travel, cooking but more so the secret insight into The Pontifical Swiss Guard and the Popes' favorite dishes took me by surprise. A wonderful Mother's Day gift for the coffee table.
What can I say...It is 'Heavenly'! For the authors to combine great 'down to earth' recipes and spectacular photos of both the food & Vatican Art, it is a work well done. Then you add ample history of the Swiss Guard and favorite dishes of the last three Popes ... it is a book you want to curl up and read, head to the kitchen, or give as an exquisite gift! My colleague said she's going to get the book to create an 'infallible' dinner for her husband!
