This book will enable you to become a virtual traveller using your tablet, smartphone or computer. You will learn how to find and explore interesting, mysterious and hidden destinations and flyover and into these locations and simulate real travel using a range of software applications (Apps) and real life scenarios.
Virtual travel is having the experience of traveling to a destination without physically traveling and can be used as an alternative to or an adjunct to actual travel. Virtual travel may be preferred to actual travel for reasons that include cost, risk, health, time, convenience and mobility. Virtual travel is being enabled by increasingly powerful smartphones and tablets, faster network speeds and greater bandwidth combined with the integration of the World Wide Web's information, map, photo and video resources.

About the Author

Tony is an educational technology consultant. Prior to his 'retirement' Tony was NSW TAFE's Director of Technology and Arts and Media Educational Services. He was the founding CEO for the Federal Government's Co-operative Multimedia Centre and the Manager of the State Government's Water Conservation Commission's Photogrammetry Division. He has taught at college and university levels for more than 30 years and received national awards from the Australian Institute of Training and Development (AITD), in addition to the Computer World Fellows award for 'Outstanding Contributions To Computing In Australia'.
