F.W. Wenzel was a Lutheran pastor in the Synodical Conference at the turn of the 20th century. He prepared this commentary on the Gospels to help the busy pastor in his sermon preparation--by bringing out the meaning of the Greek text and adding thoughts to be applied in exposition. The manuscript was completed in 1935 and first published in 1986.
