In April and May of 1997, there was a lively debate in the rec.toys.lego newsgroup. The central question revolved around the LEGO Group's portrayal of witches with the Willa the Witch minifigure. This was the first time the adult LEGO addressed the nature of how plastic play figurines should be depicted. There are more LEGO minifigs (about 4 billion) than humans on earth, and it is interesting to reflect how we feel about what they represent!
