About the Author

Brent Runzel was born December 17, 1959, in Omaha, Nebraska. He moved with his family to suburban Chicago when he was 7 years old. He attended Elk Grove High School and graduated from Millikin University in Decatur, IL, with a Marketing degree in 1982. He met Karin in a bicycle shop after she came in to buy a new 10-speed. They married less than two years later in 1990 and welcomed daughter Tricia in 1991 and son Daniel in 1994.
Brent and Karin regularly visit different wineries and vineyards, having followed wine trails in Michigan, Indiana, Illinois and Napa Valley. They prefer white wines such as Riesling, Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc and unoaked Chardonnay. They often gather with their friends to play Wine Games. Brent is also an avid runner and professional sports fan. The Wine Games is Brent's first published work.
