My Thoughts - 4 out of 5 Unicorns - I really liked it!!! ***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!! Yes, I got a review copy of this book, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book! The cover is mysterious and a little spooky! This is the first book in the series and the first book by this author. This is for adults only due to the violence and m/m steamy scenes. This is a romance between two men. I wanted to read this book because it was a mysterious FBI type book. I like reading action-packed books where you aren’t sure what will happen next. This book was not predictable. Every time I thought I knew who did it, I would find out I’m wrong. I love when an author has me running around in circle not knowing what is happening. The romance is light is this book as they are getting to know each other and are unsure especially with being partners and working this case. I liked trying to figure it out along the way with Cooper and Park. You really will be surprised who it is. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book! I recommend to any shifter fans to love mysteries and CSI type situations where you are trying to figure out who did it, and you might also need to like m/m books!

Cooper was proud of his position with the FBI, but a werewolf attack made him sign a contract with the BSI, the Bureau of Special Investigations, out of curiosity. He had to know what happened to him. At the BSI secrecy is incredibly important. Cooper chases wolves, but can't tell anyone what his job entails. A new case inspires the bureau to work with the wolves instead of against them and Cooper is being assigned to a new partner. Park is an agent of The Trust, an organization that represents werewolves. Cooper doesn't know anything about the enigmatic wolf by his side, can he trust Park? Cooper and Park have to look into a series of deaths and disappearances. There are hardly any leads, but it's clear that the murderer has brutally attacked the victims. While they're trying to find clues nothing seems to add up. Cooper has to find out more about his case, but it's also important he gets to know Park. When they're spending time together sparks fly, but can they give into their feelings when there's a case to be solved and are they safe themselves when it appears both humans and werewolves are being targeted? The Wolf at the Door is a fantastic gripping story. Cooper is strong and capable, but he's also kind and caring. He's good at what he does. Park immediately fascinates him, the werewolf is clearly intelligent, but he's also a mystery. I liked that aspect of the story a lot. They have plenty of chemistry and I couldn't wait to find out if they'd have a chance together. Their case is brutal and their timing isn't ideal, but that leads to a lot of great unexpected moments. I liked this duo a lot and enjoyed reading about both their mission and their relationship. Charlie Adhara has written an amazing suspenseful story. I absolutely love a good werewolf book and The Wolf at the Door definitely falls into that category. I was intrigued by the case Park and Cooper are working on and was equally interested in their love story, which kept me glued to the pages. The setting is a remote forest filled with danger, which adds to the creepiness of the crimes. The Wolf at the Door is a fantastic story. I highly recommend this thrilling sexy book.
