MANY YEARS AGO, MARGUERITE DE ANGELLI CAME TO THE COLLINGSWOOD PUBLIC LIBRARY FOR A BOOK SIGNING. MY FAMILY ATTENDED AND WERE FASCINATED BY HER AND ALL OF HER WONDERFUL BOOKS. WE OBTAINED AUTOGRAPH COPIES OF HER GREAT BOOKS. NOW I AM GETTING ONE OF HER BOOKS FOR MY GRANDSON, WHO IS 5 YRS. OLD. I'D LIKE TO GET HIM STARTED ON HER BOOKS AND KNOW HE WILL ENJOY THEM AS MUCH AS HIS FATHER AND HIS AUNT. AN INTERESTING FACT ABOUT THE AUTHOR IS THAT SHE ONCE RESIDED IN COLLINGSWOOD WHEN HER CHILDREN WERE VERY LITTLE.
I loved this author as a child and this was my favorite of her works. I grew up in Philadelphia and loved the illustrations in this book as I felt that I could have been there with Hannah and Sally. I can't wait to introduce my daughters to this book!!
